Ho Chi Minh City accommodation
Ho Chi Minh City accommodation is not hard to find; the city is awash with hotels. Even outside the tourist areas there are hotels everywhere – here I will look at 5 choices to suit all budgets.
5 star Ho Chi Minh City accommodation
Le Meridien, 3C Ton Duc Thang Street, District 1 Ho Chi Minh City, Double room inc. breakfast $122
This is one of the newer choices in Ho Chi Minh City accommodation. It’s sumptuously decorated with a wonderfully spacious lobby.
The hotel has everything a 5 star hotel should have. I am not going to pretend I have stayed here, I haven’t. The location is lovely – overlooking the river and in walking distance of most of the major tourist attractions.
4 Star Ho Chi Minh City Accommodation
Liberty Central Saigon City Point 59 – 61 Pasteur, District 1, Ho Chi Minh City, Double room inc. breakfast $118
Another new build Ho Chi Minh City accommodation. This place has a really cool roof top bar, spa. Pool and business centre.
It even has a cinema in the building. Its centrally located on Pasteur street right in the heart of downtown.
3 Star Ho Chi Minh City accommodation
Hotel Ibis Saigon South 73 Hoang Van Thai Street, District 7, Ho Chi Minh City, Double room (no breakfast) $55
This hotel is out of the tourist area and CBD. District 7 is the well to do part of town with upmarket flats and shopping malls and a number of international schools.
For a fairly cheap price you get a spa, pool, Golf (in a hotel?), breakfast is an additional $14. Or get a Banh Mi for $1 somewhere. And I think it is suitable for your Ho Chi Minh Tour.
2 Star Ho Chi Minh City Accommodation
Little Saigon Boutique Hotel, 36 Bis/2 Le Loi Street, District 1, Ho Chi Minh City, Double room inc. breakfast $36
This tiny hotel is down a little alley off Le Loi street, which is right in the heart of Saigon’s tourist centre. Its tiny and compact but it is really nice inside, obviously no pool and spa – but you do get free Wi-Fi (to be honest you will get that in any hotel – every coffee shop in the city has it too).
Incidentally Booking.com claims this hotel has Metro access – which is impressive as the metro won’t arrive until 2019 at the earliest.
1 star Ho Chi Minh City accommodation
Banana Leaf Hotel 160/2 Cong Quynh Street, District 1, Double room no breakfast $17
If you are saving your cash for your Ho Chi Minh Tour, this 1 star Hotel will save you some pennies. I had to include a hotel in the backpacker’s district in Ho Chi Minh City accommodation and I chose this one for the quote on their website “The hotel can be enjoyed by the lifestyles of all people today.” Ngo Tan Lam, Hotel Manager.
It doesn’t get much better than that. Free Wi-Fi but no elevator so a few steps if your room is on one of the higher floors.
For those who are interested in discovering Ho Chi Minh City on the back of a bike, please take a look at our Ho Chi Minh Tour. We hope you enjoy your trip in Ho Chi Minh City.
